As the Japanese Philosopher, Shoshin wrote in his book, The Beginner’s Mind:
“The longer you work in your area of focus, the more apt you may be to dilute your original attitude toward it.”
This goes for anything important that we do over a sustained period of time be it days, months or years.
While classified as a “newbie”, there is a lot of value in being a “beginner” over being a “veteran”.
